Shortly after graduation, Steve and I were married before he entered the Air Force. Our son, Stephen, was born that summer, 1962 in Denver. Our daughter, Teri Lyn, was born two years later, while we were living on Hill AFB, Utah. After Steve’s four years were served, we moved to Louisville, KY, where our second daughter, Melinda, was born in 1973. I have worked at various part-time clerical and retail jobs while being a stay-at-home mom. Steve went to school at night for seven years while working during the day and graduated from the University of Louisville in 1975. I now work just 3 days a week for a brokerage firm owned by a friend, and hope to never give it up! Everyone in the office is of retirement age, so we all stay flexible and take time off easily.

We are fortunate to have six grandchildren, which truly is a joy! This grandparenting is so much easier and less stressful than parenting! Our son and his wife and four children live a mile from us, and Teri Lyn and her son live about 40 minutes away, which is wonderful because we get to see them so often. Melinda lives in Castle Rock, CO with her husband and new baby boy. But with email and cell phones, we can keep in touch so much more easily than when we lived out west so far from our families. Also air travel has been a blessing.

We have been avid fans of U of L sports, attending both football and basketball games. We also have spent many years boating – lots of beautiful lakes in Kentucky.

We plan to be in attendance for this reunion, and look forward to connecting with you there.
