After rushing through WLHS,
graduating early in 1960, I also rushed through Purdue, graduating with a
BA in Economics in 1963. I then slowed down a bit in grad school and got
a Ph.D. in Economics from Univ. of California-Berkeley in 1969. I spent
11 years teaching college at New York Univ., Univ. of Wisconsin-Oshkosh,
and Univ. of New Orleans. I then came to Washington, DC to work for the
Federal Communications Commission, where I worked from 1978 until my
retirement in 2010. I worked in the part of the FCC that regulates the
telephone industry, and I put together various statistical reports. In
the early 1980s I met Keren Coxe. We lived together from 1986 until her
death in 2010. She was an artist, but had previously worked as a
statistician and a model. |
