After
graduation from WLHS, I spent two years at Wabash College and then
returned to Purdue and graduated in 1966. Like many of us, I had received
my draft notice, but I flunked the physical because of my hearing, which
has gotten progressively worse over the years. I accepted a position with
Purdue National Bank in Lafayette and worked in various departments with
them until 1983, when I started my career at Merrill Lynch. I am a Financial Advisor and CFP(R) working in a team with two other advisors. We deal mainly with retired people in the areas of estate planning, survivor planning and asset management. At present, I have no plans for retirement myself, even though the new people in the office call me "Sir". I am divorced and have two boys. James, his wife Beth and their son Casey just moved back to Lafayette, so I will get a chance to see them when I come up. James works for Purdue and they are in the process of buying a home. My other son, Patrick, lives in Venice and is the Assistant Manager of the Staples Office Supply store there. My third son, Chip, tragically passed away in 2004. I enjoy saltwater fishing and playing golf once a year with Jerry Colvin. I also attend several Purdue home football games each year. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
