  2011

Since our reunion in Summer of 2007, a few changes in my life.  I retired from Lafayette School Corporaton after 25 years and then enjoyed a part-time job for three years - until the school closed!  In 2009 at age 90 my Mother passed in Florida and Dad had an auto accident two months later.  After 6 months in a rehab center in Florida we convinced him to come back to Lafayette
as no family in Florida to help with his care. He is doing well at Creasy Springs Health Campus and at age 90 has progressed over the year to Assisted Living.

I have been involved with Big Brothers and Sisters for a couple years.  I have a "little sis" who is 10 now and enjoy doing activities with her.  Many of my days our spent visiting with Dad and helping at Creasy Springs whereever they might need me.
Also love flower gardening and trying to develop some perennial gardens.

My daughters, April (Lexington) and Heather (Cincinnati) and their families are a constant joy and we visit often. Three grandchildren - Emma (10), Jack (8), Parker (6) spend some summer time with grandma - I love it!  I spend a week with them in the summers on Lake Erie at Lakeside, Ohio (Chautaugua area - the most delightful of summer resorts).

See you all end of September!

Carol with Emma, Parker & Jack

Just a quick update - Somehow with a divorce in my past, the unexpected death of my husband of 31 years summer of 2005 and the recent battle of my youngest daughter with breast cancer, I can still say "life is good"! I have two daughters, April and Heather and 3 grandchildren - see picture!.  I also have a stepdaughter, stepson & they have children.  After leaving Purdue my junior year I attended Indiana Business College and shortly there after entered the "working world". I took a couple breaks to be home with my daughters for several years. Since 1987 I have been the School Secretary for Murdock Elementary. A job where no day is the same!  Retirement?  Soon.....See you all the end of June!
